The Petrified Forest/Painted Desert National Park
We were able to spend about an hour here - but could have spent a lot more time.  Awesome,
full petrified logs with crystals and gem stones imbedded in them.  These pictures don't do
the park justice - petrified wood was everywhere.  This park is off of Interstate 40 in Eastern
Arizona.  Sorry for the lack of description - but it is mostly pictures of the wood.
Here we are with the rolling hills in the
background.
Some of the Painted Desert from the
inside of the RV.  You can't quite tell
there is blue on the bottom.
This is off the Crystal Forest trail - this
was our favorite part of the park.
Here's Sarah by the end of one of the
logs.  Crazy colors and minerals in
there.
Landscape with lots of petrified logs
spread about.
This was a petrified log bridge.
Here we are again  -  hot out there in
Arizona.
